Nolan and Julia Vockrodt were born in Tulsa, OK and married in 1973.  Together they founded New Life Children’s Home in March, 1990 after a mission trip to the Philippines.  Nolan was so affected by the poverty he knew he could not turn a blind eye to the need for the basics, food, clothing and shelter for these impoverished children.  Partnering with a native Filipino couple they began an orphanage that would see more than 100 children pass through and be recipients of their basic needs as well as medical attention, education a home like atmosphere and most importantly love.

Our first New Life Children's Home started in Dumaguete City on the island of Negros.
The home began in 1990 with two children
and two house parents.

Currently we have 48 children in this orphanage home . In 1998 we purchased land and built new facilities outside of Dumaguete in the rural area of Bacong complete with a dining hall, playground, and a full-size basketball court. These new facilities allow the children plenty of room to run and play in safety away from traffic and crowded conditions found in town.  They are also in walking distance from their school.

There are two house parents in charge of this home.  Galelio and Virginia have been involved with New Life Children's Home from the beginning. We also have on staff 2 full-time Social workers she helps us to keep things right with the Philippine government. There are also 5 full-time workers that stay at the home, cook meals, oversea the kids homework and do various chores that need to be done. We are headquartered in Tulsa.
